Autonomous Infrastructure Intelligence

The challenge

Managing distributed energy infrastructure creates massive visibility gaps across thousands of square miles. Our client's operations team relied entirely on manual, paper-based field audits and reactive public reports to monitor asset health, emergency events and worker safety compliance.

It was an approach built for a different era of infrastructure scale. Between audit cycles the team had no current picture of a territory too large to walk, and issues surfaced through incident reports rather than through monitoring.

Adding field staff in proportion to the footprint was not a viable answer.

What we built

  1. 01

    Territory-wide asset detection

Imagery across the full service territory is processed to detect and classify infrastructure assets, producing a current inventory rather than one assembled from historical audit paperwork.

  2. 02

    Condition and change monitoring

Successive captures are compared to surface damage, vegetation encroachment, site activity and environmental risk as dated, located changes — so degradation is caught between audit cycles rather than at them.

  3. 03

    Operations delivery layer

Findings reach the operations team through dashboards, alerts and structured exports, so field crews are dispatched to the locations that warrant attention instead of working a fixed rota.

What came out of it

  • Continuous coverage of a territory spanning thousands of square miles.
  • Manual, paper-based field audits replaced with monitoring that runs between visits.
  • Field effort prioritised by observed condition rather than by audit schedule.

  • A 30-minute call, no prep needed on your side.
  • Bring the data you already have — imagery, feeds, GIS layers, records.
  • You leave with a concrete view of what an intelligence layer on top of it looks like.
